Shandong Welcomes American Young Students and Teachers Delegation in June 2024!
Shandong, with its fertile Yellow River delta, is one of the two great birthplaces of Chinese civilization. Many notable figures in Chinese history hail from Shandong.
If you imagine an ancient city from the medieval era, with slumbering red buildings, narrow ancient stone paths, and thick stone city walls, encircled by a clear stream reflecting mountain views, with children in red and green clothes squatting on the banks. If such a realm exists in your fantasy, it is Jinan.
Tai'an is located in the eastern part of China. It is the midpoint of Shandong Province's "one mountain, one water, one sage". Tai'an, which implies "national prosperity and people's peace," is a famous cultural tourism city. Mount Tai within its territory is a national key scenic spot, with an altitude of 1532.7 meters, known as the "head of the Five Sacred Mountains" and "the best mountain in the world," and is a World Natural and Cultural Heritage.
Qufu, the hometown of Confucius, is also an important birthplace of Eastern culture and is one of the famous historical and cultural cities.
Qingdao, a prominent coastal hub, is recognized as a new first-tier city among coastal cities, an economic center, and a city rich in history and culture. As an international port city, it is also a popular coastal resort destination, celebrated for its livability and often referred to as the "Oriental Switzerland."
Visiting famous Chinese universities, going to the capital city of China, Beijing, climbing the Great Wall, visiting the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, and other activities will surely yield a rich harvest for the members of the delegation.
